  Wow, this comic features one cool splash page early on. Very beautiful stuff depicting Heimdall's perception of reality. It's quite a fun issue overall but does have some weird moments. We learn the Enchantress has infiltrated Eric's life, but we learn that through a bizarre scene where the villain is talking to herself the entire time for no reason other than to convey the reader this information. It is something that could have been easily avoided and feels like clumsy or even amateur writing doing it this way. The Asgardians rescuing Odin from the Negative Zone was fun as hell which could have made up for things, but moves a little slow and I don't love the bickering between Sif and Thor. Sif's writing isn't great here.
  
  Th e biggest problem with this issue is Masterson, unfortunately. Eric's character comes across as reckless and childish in this issue, likely to help contrast him with the Asgardians. It doesn't work as well at making Thor feel like a fun character worth following, and feels like a bit of a stumble after a few solid issues. Annihilus feels underplayed and that's a real shame. more
