Like the art, time period, and setting. It's Logan in prohibition times smuggling stuff in Canada, I found it quite unique and compelling. Wolverine's character is not very savage, though.
Savage Wolverine #14.NOW
"THE BOOTLEGGER"
SURVIVING THE BLACK ROLLERS! In the 1930s Dustbowl, Logan is a bootlegger carrying whiskey down from Canada, until he finds himself the accidental caretaker of a group of orphans whose family was targeted by the mob. Now Logan must choose between the anonymous life he's been meticulously building or stepping out into the spot...
This is fun in that it has Wolverine and Jubilee together. The story itself is pretty boring - they get captured and showed an ideal fantasy while they are experimented on, then Logan breaks them out. But some of the art and even some elements of the writing make up for that, a bit. Other elements look and feel really tired or dated. Nothing special but not terrible either.
Savage Wolverine #19
He's the best there is at what he does - but what if he has a bad day?
Logan collides head first with some bad luck on the worst possible day. Can Jubilee lend a hand?
It's Wolverine's no good, very bad, extremely awful day by Gail Simone (Batgirl) and Somebody!
Not bad. I adored the art but the story was more or less exactly what I predicted. I found the writing around the Badoon left a lot to be desired.
Laura Kinney: Wolverine #7
HAPPINESS IS AN ADAMANTIUM CLAW!
LAURA has the love of her life in JULIAN KELLER. Can they put WOLVERINE and HELLION behind them, or is the perfect life always out of reach? What BETRAYAL will sever Laura's trust in LOGAN? Find out in this special legacy #75 issue of Laura's solo series!
Rated T+
It's basically just that idea from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, that I'm sure is also ripping something off to begin with, where Laura finds her life as Wolverine was some sort of hallucination and she's living a much more mundane life. The art is very creative, but the story isn't anything new or even that fun.
Laura Kinney: Wolverine #6
FAMILY MATTERS!
LAURA faces a shocking decision! The WOLVERINE family tree can get pretty complex, but what could be more perfect than Laura living happily with her DOTING FATHER by the name of LOGAN and her beloved SISTER, the incomparable GABBY? In fact, wouldn't leaving behind her life of DEATH and ASSASSINATION the dream? Or is it the perfe...
Taskmaster confronts Daken and he somehow finagles that into "the perfect crime." Seems awfully convenient in my books. Seems like more 13-year-old-with-a-fanfic-character writing to me.
Daken: Dark Wolverine #12
The conclusion of "BIG BREAK"! The biggest cash heist in American history is at Daken's fingertips but TASKMASTER is standing in his way. Meanwhile, FBI Agent Donna Kiel might just have uncovered the truth behind the grisly claw murders of Los Angeles' most terrifying serial killer.
I like the art which is very creative at times and how unapologetically gay it all is. It's still pretty lame, though I do applaud this series for taking a serious look at drug use in an interesting way. It's still trying just so unbelievably hard to be edgy, and that makes it hard to take this run that seriously.
Daken: Dark Wolverine #11
Daken doesn't start anything without having his own secret and bloody back-up plan. Meanwhile, the bodies keep turning up thanks to Tinseltown's newest serial killer, and claws are the murderer's weapon of choice.
Way and Liu are out, and Rob Williams is in, low expectations towards this run due to his awful Suicide Squad, let's see
Daken: Dark Wolverine #10
WELCOME TO HOLLYWOOD! Daken's new life starts here! After razing his father's old stomping grounds of Madripoor and installing himself as its kingpin, Daken decides to expand his enterprise...and Los Angeles seems ripe for the picking. Don't miss out as rising star ROB WILLIAMS brings you an all new chapter full of glitz, glamour and the first step...
A refreshingly brutal art and story, with a splash of humour and dread that mixed pretty well for me. I don't love the direction this LA stuff goes but it starts out okay here. Daken's entire time in LA is a little too referential for Hollywood, though.

Somehow even worse. Honestly a bit of a painful read. The connections between the flashback story and the present day fight feel threadbare. The ending is so unsatisfying too. Logan just tosses Bucky away and walks off. That's it.
World War Hulks: Captain America vs Wolverine #2
In the aftermath of World War Hulk, Wolverine and Bucky Barnes, aka the new Captain America, are off the chain and out of control. It's claws against a soldier's instinct in a battle destined to prove which of these two WW2 vets is really the best there is at what they do!
If this was just a dumb Hulkified Bucky Barnes as Captain America vs Hulkified Wolverine, I'd be having fun. The art really is cool. But there's a dumb flashback story that borders on torture porn and takes up way too much space without much purpose. Overall it's not a fun read.
The second story feels even more pointless and dumb which is a shame because Monica Rambeau is in it.
World War Hulks: Captain America vs Wolverine #1
You've seen what happens when you hulk out a hero...but what does Doc Samson's deadly Cathexis ray do to a stone-cold killer? Or two?!
Not great but serviceable for what it is intended to be, which is a jumping on point for new fans. There's some really iconic art in this issue at least.
Daken: Dark Wolverine #9.1
START READING with this Point One issue! In his bid for power, Wolverine's son Daken has already singlehandedly taken over the underground criminal element of Madripoor, but he's just getting started. Next on his list is the city of angels. That's right, Daken's headed to Hollywood but first he's got a stop to make and score to settle. Enter Wolver...
Checchetto's art continues to impress. The story is whatever but at least this issue is bloody and looks cool when X-23 and Daken are killing together. There's a certain haunting beauty to this that Wolverine comics could use more of.
Daken: Dark Wolverine #9
COLLISION CONCLUSION Daken is forced to decide which side he's on while X-23 must decide whom she can trust. Meanwhile, the potentially-revived Weapon X Program's fate hangs in the balance.
I like the cover. Loved Laura's thoughts as she is almost experimented on again. It's all so sad and makes her violent escape that much more cathartic. Some weird dialogue between Laura and Daken about Romulus but otherwise this is quite fun.
X-23 #9
COLLISION PART 3 X-23 may be working with Daken to bring down Malcom Colcord, but that doesn't mean she trusts him. Daken is up to no good, but investigating him may require X-23 to embrace a dark side no one wants to see.
Loved the art, but this issue is a little underwhelming after Collision's explosive start in the X-23 series. At least Gambit and X-23 have a lotof cool moments this issue. Daken still seems like a chump in his own series, which is funny because he was fine over on the X-23 side of things.
Daken: Dark Wolverine #8
COLLISION PART 2 The Daken/X-23 crossover rages on! Picking up where X-23 left off, Daken and X-23 join forces to hunt down Malcolm Colcord, the man responsible for countless reincarnations of the Weapon X Project.
A pretty cool start to the crossover. X-23 and Gambit are hunting Daken but before they can confront him they stumble onto some sort of kidnapping ring. I'd be miffed at the delayed focus of the story but this was sufficiently executed with good art and writing such that I have faith even if it made things feel a little slow-moving up until when that fight finally happens. It is good once we ge more
X-23 #8
COLLISION PART 1 When X-23 went to Madripoor searching for secrets about her past, she didn't expect to find Daken. Will they be allies against a common enemy, or will this encounter lead to only one of them left standing?
Well, after an arc kind of hyping him up, I found Dreadshadow's story quite underwhelming. The idea of Spider-Man saving a villain's life only for that villain to go on and harm someone else is interesting, but it feels like a lot to put the blame of the villain's actions on Peter. It could have been interesting but we dump the whole idea on this one single issue and it makes a lot of the past s more
Spider-Man & Wolverine #5
DREADSHADOW! WOLVERINE and SPIDER-MAN have been put through the ringer - and are at the mercy of DREADSHADOW and the SHADOW COVEN! The mystery deepens as the threat increases...but what is this mysterious force's endgame? Featuring the first cover appearance of this all-new villain!
I liked the first few issues, but as focused shifts to this Dreadshadow villain, I'm a little less impressed. There's an interesting story here with Peter's parents and I feel like we are getting distracted away from that. I do like the ending with Theresa's surprise entrance, at least.
Spider-Man & Wolverine #4
WORLDWIDE WEB! The ENEMY behind WOLVERINE and SPIDER-MAN's trap has set BIGGER sights, including a worldwide hunt that will put our heroes - and any innocent person in their wake - in grave danger! With great power...will there also come impossibly deadly danger? And, after the opening salvo, can PETER ever trust LOGAN again? PLUS: An ALL-NEW villa...
Another really strong issue. The Savage Land is great and the writing does a good job showing Peter and Logan come to terms with everything they've just learned. The humour is back but I actually found it charming this time.
Spider-Man & Wolverine #3
FEAR AND LOATHING IN THE SAVAGE LAND! Things were wild in New York, but wait'll you see LOGAN and PETER PARKER in the SAVAGE LAND! What grim hunt dogs them to this brutal of places? If you read the last issue, you know one of our heroes might not make it out alive. See the fallout of issue #2 play out in this landmark issue!
A very raw and emotional comic for Peter Parker. Very strong art and writing overall. The writing in particular improves from last issue as we drop all the tacky jokey lines and deal with something serious.
Spider-Man & Wolverine #2
SPIDER-MAN VERSUS WOLVERINE!
You read that right! The inaugural issue's surprise leads to this throwdown for the ages: SPIDER-MAN VERSUS WOLVERINE! But what terrible revelation could possibly pit PETER PARKER against LOGAN for all the marbles? Not mind control, not an illusion - you'll have to read it to experience it!
Rated T+
That was one well of an opening. Some of the writing is quite silly but at least that kind of fits the tone of Spider-Man. It's a little sad to see how little has changed for these two characters, though. Love the bit where the two get flashes of each others memories, and the villain duo of Omega Red and Kraven felt like classic superhero team-up stuff. That ending took me by surprise, but in more
