Thunderbolts vs. Agents of Atlas Round 2! The hunt down in the swamp comes to a head when one of the T-Bolts ends up dead! There's not going to be much time to cope either, because Norman Osborn needs his team of killers ready for a final mission, and this is what he's been saving them for!
I still can't completely say what I think of Jeff Parker's Thunderbolts run so far. He's worked hard to get the team beyond its one-dimensional roots, but the actual plot has revolved heavily around guest stars that he's already shown great success with. The outcome of the struggle between Thunderbolts and Atlas holds no major surprise for either side, but the aftermath of the battle provides some of the more surprising elements of this story. Parker drops a surprise ending in this issue that he takes time to set up, but I personally didn't see it coming. While it wasn't shocking, it was a surprise that added more consequence and realism to this adventure. Where things go from here, as the Thunderbolts prepare to join the Siege of Asgard, remains to be seen. If Parker has his way, though, I am certain the Siege-related issues of this title will be filled with more surprises. Read Full Review
If you're a fan of the Agents of Atlas, you might want to wait until this issue is collected into a trade volume with all of the Atlas team-ups. If you're a fan of the villains in question, this might be the issue for you. Read Full Review
