And that's all we have here. My entire assessment of this issue has to rest on whether I care about Venom's path of destruction - and I don't this time. Perhaps this arc will swerve back into relevance with some shocking twists or quiet moments that have yet to play out, but for now I sit back, waiting for this series to return to the heights it had reached just a few months back. This may not be an astounding, stand-out issue, but that's not how this series works. It works by being very good every single month, and no matter how you feel about the rest of the Ultimate line, this comic is always worth reading. Read Full Review
The art is still amazing and it is difficult to see another artist doing as good a job as Immonen when it comes to the pencilling. He cannot express emotion to the level Bagley did, but his action sequences more than make up for this. Maybe it was just the setting of the single scene of Peter Parker and not Spider-Man, but Immonen has simply begun to shade things heavier. It works for the most part, but can come across as too moody and also covering up. But a single look at Venom growling at a police officer wipes these thoughts away. Read Full Review
