Hopefully the new comic with a slightly-different title and a brand new number will keep that string going! Read Full Review

Regardless of what you think of the Ultimatum event (more on that later), Bendis worked with what he was given and delivers up a fantastic story that works. Ultimatum: Spider-Man: Requiem is a perfect closing chapter to Ultimate Spider-Man in this incarnation. What will happen when Ultimate Comics Spider-Man kicks off? I have no idea, but for now, Ultimatum: Spider-Man: Requiem #2 works and earns 4 out of 5 Stars. Read Full Review

Comic Book Revolution - Kevin Aug 3, 2009

Ultimatum Spider-Man Requiem #2 was a good ending for Ultimate Spider-Man. Still, it feels that there was a lot of lost potential with this issue as it does not feel like the proper ending this series deserves. In any case, I am happy to see that Peter is alive and I am very interested to see what Bendis and LaFuente have in store for Ultimate Comics Spider-Man. Read Full Review

The one thing I felt was missing most from this issue was the typical supporting cast. That's the emotional reaction/response I wanted to see, but it was nowhere to be found. Thankfully, Bendis at least didn't drag out the "is he dead or not?" towards the end of this issue, since that makes the purchase of this issue not completely unnecessary. I would recommend just waiting until the August reboot and skip this, but your mileage and Spidey fanaticism may vary. Read Full Review

Bendis retconned ultimate marvel team-up #2 and #3 (for what?). Bendis used many artworks from previous USM issues here (rush?). Bendis showed us, that Peter is alive after only two issues of him being "dead". And that's so stupid if you know, that after 30 more issues he will be dead again, but that time for real. And then after another 30 or so issues he will ressurect again...

I hate it... And I hate, that Bendis forgot, that Jonah stopped insulting Spider-Man long ago, after he saved him what... two or three times? I dunno, but Jameson already stopped to write a crap about Spider-Man. He called him a hero, as I remember and wrote truth... And now he's somehow again feels guilty and pretends that he didn't know before that Spi more
