    A very strong first effort. It feels like the X-Files. You will hear the lines being spoken by the original actors as you read. The only thing that'll kill the series is if they stretch each story out over 5-6 issues. No decompression, please. It never took Scully and Mulder 6 episodes to solve the mystery of the haunted carnival or get to the bottom of those pesky bigfoot sightings. Read Full Review

    It certainly helps that artist Brian Denham is so good at capturing the look and feel of the show. Granted, he clearly relies on a great deal of photo-referencing to render his characters and locations. That said, most artists go that route use it as a crutch. Denham's pencils are nothing if not consistent, and this is one case where I feel photo-referencing is a benefit to a book. Like the show, the panels are bathed in shadow and cast a perpetual gloomy mood. Like the script, Denham's art isn't groundbreaking, but it's very faithful to the show, and I imagine most fans will be pleased all around. Read Full Review
