(Cover Date: July, 1987) Summary: The X-Men & Avengers converge on Singapore to find Magneto. Magneto is with a group of mutants who rescued him from the police. Magneto decides to turn himself in for trial when he finds that Captain America harbors no anti-mutant feelings. Magneto uses his helmet to influence the chief justice's mind because he fears that his death could lead to the extermination of mutantkind. After hearing the chief justice's words before his release, Magneto wonders if the outcome would have been the same.
