Comic Bastards - Dustin Cabeal Jan 29, 2014

I really want to give this book a scale breaking score like 20/5 because it's worth the value of four other 5/5 issues, but I'm serious when I say that this is one of the most important comic books that have been created in all of comics history. It's an incredible issue for many reasons and so I want people who only look at the score not to see it breaking the scale and think that I'm fanboying about this series. In the meantime I can't stress enough how much you should spend a dollar on this issue. A dollar. You're ripping the creators off, but hey they set the price so get the issue; no excuses. Multiversity Comics - David Henderson Jan 31, 2014

This comic really has to be read to be believed. There's no way to put in words just how insane it is that these two creators have no only made this issue work, but made it enjoyable and understandable and have made it feel like seamless part of the grander story they are telling. From Curt Pires' writing to Dalton Rose's art, this comic feels born of true creativity and it's something of a breath of fresh air. This is the kind of story that really only a comic book could tell (sorry Kaufman) and only these two could make as readable as this. If Image Comics is creating a revolution in print comics, Monkeybrain has been quietly creating an underground indie scene that will blow the roof off of the comics industry. Read Full Review

Stash My Comics - Leo Johnson Jan 29, 2014

Theremincontinues to be a singular sort of series, evolving and growing as Pires carves the story from his brain and Rose sets it to pictures. It's a book that belongs at Monkeybrain. Theremin is definitely not your normal comic and you're all the better for reading it. Each issue can be found on Comixology for just 99. Read Full Review

Bloody Disgusting - Zac Thompson Jan 29, 2014

Theremin takes a detour to reflect on the more unsightly aspects of the creative process this month and is all the better for it. The book reaches a new level of vulnerability far away from self-indulgence. The issue is a vital slice of experimentation that you dont often find in the medium and I can think of no better way to spend a dollar. Read Full Review

    All-Comic - Dan Pennacchia Jan 30, 2014

Even for those unfamiliar with the series, this is an issue worth picking up for the exposure to something unique and will be a great source for discussion. Read Full Review
