  Of course, speaking of "looking back" -- "Local" is now due for release in a hardcover format. The episodic nature of the series means it'll benefit massively from a collected edition. My recommendation? Buy two, then give one to someone who doesn't read comics and see what they make of it. It's just that good a series. Read Full Review

  Ultimately, Local #12 is an acceptable but slightly shallow conclusion to a brilliant series. Wood is content to wrap up Megan's life with a neat bow. I'm not always a fan of ambiguous endings, but I would have preferred something less happy and tidy. I like to picture Megan out there somewhere, roaming the roads and back alleys of America. In this case I don't think any ending would truly satisfy me. Read Full Review
