After surviving one round of Space Battle Lunchtime, Peony is a little more confident in her cooking abilities. And the chefs are warned against sabotaging each other, so maybe this round will go a little more smoothly. OR... the sabotage will continue! And this time, someone may end up in the hospital!
Space Battle Lunchtime is setting a new precedent with a genre I'm sure will inspire more cooking comics after it. It manages to do so much well, from character development to exciting cooking montages, and a fun premise with a great sense of humor. Read Full Review

Natalie Riess needs to figure out that her fictional chef competition is nothing more than a framing device, with the real action happening away from the set. Otherwise, SBLT is doomed to remain a one-trick pony, joining the sad heap of other comics that started out strong but couldn't sustain their initial excitement. I'm going to give SBLT #3 an extra star in hope that the series will find an exciting direction, but #4 had better be a humdinger. Read Full Review
I don't know how well the series will hold up. The structure is beginning to wear thin, the characters are in a holding pattern, and I'm losing interest in the competition that gives the book its name. Space Battle Lunchtime hasn't lost me yet, but I'm not tremendously optimistic about the book's future. Read Full Review
