    The story ends on a humorous note that serves as a release from the menace posed by the Quarrymen. The only flaw, and it's a small one, in the issue can be found in the scene in which MacDuff debates a bellicose ADA who sees the Gargoyles as dangerous monsters and wishes them caged for laboratory study. The televised debate is a little derivative of Dark Knight Returns, which to my knowledge is the first book to intercut televised reports and debates with the action. Gargoyles however soars above this deference, which does at least factor into the tale. Read Full Review
