After decades of pollution and climate have ravaged the Earth leaving it nearly uninhabitable, a young man joins an impossible mission: to terraform Mars. Three generations of his family face tragedies and triumphs as they attempt to build a new home for mankind. Remnant is a sweeping and timely epic told in a single issue, about the tragic collapse of one society, the difficult birth of another, and one family's struggle to navigate both.

The story of Remnant #1 is a novel look at a sci-fi trope. It was interesting to look at the concept of making another planet a "new Earth" through three different generations. I wish it would have been a bit longer to really get into the characters and more into the story. Sequential Planet - Matthew Dillon May 17, 2020

Remnant covers some interesting ground but offers a vapid take on the issues it presents. The ending is both bleak and hopeful but the story as a whole lacks the depth to make it memorable much less haunting. I appreciate short-form storytelling but this book does not make a good case for it. At the same time, I don't think a longer page count would have helped a book where there's just not much of a story to tell. Read Full Review
