Sometimes you come across something that is familiar but completely unique at the same time. For me, this was Broken Bear. I have read Hero Journey stories before, I have read stories where the main character did not always make the right choice, but I have never read something like this. The one spoiler I will give about this book is that you might not like Selm. She begins her story by making the wrong choice and she ends her story by making the wrong choice. I did not like her for most of the book, but those flaws were so realistic, and her choices were so hard that you cant help but feel sorry for her. Then, I read the last line of the comic and I felt like it had been written just for me. It put everything I had been thinking into two words and I wanted to cheer. Read Full Review
