  Paul Levitz turns in a very mellow introduction to his new Doctor Fate. I hope that this series will press on the gas a little bit once the first issue arrives, as right now we have only the most basic outline of what to expect, not much more than the descriptions gave us. That said, what we gained from this preview is a sense of how the idea will play and to that I have to say well done. Levitz and Sonny Liew make this a very distinctive comic and one that I want to know more about. I'm a sucker for mythology and mentions of actual concepts like maat make me think that Levitz has a real story to tell. The art is unique and interesting and the characters are likable already, even if they're still a little bland. Divergence: Doctor Fate is merely solid, but it points towards a bright future for this collaboration. This is definitely a series to keep an eye on. Read Full Review
