As single issues go this is everything you want, a good read, nice art and enjoyable enough to be worth more than just one read through. As a Holiday Special, that's probably a good thing as it will probably stand up to being read as part of a Whovians festive list should they choose to. There should probably be something here for everyone, and if you know someone who might need a little distraction on Christmas Day or have a Whovian anxiously waiting for River to show, this would make a nice little stocking filler or holiday treat.
