This is a great setup issue issue as DC uses the entire issue to tell the story. At times FCBD comics will be light on new content, or just have previews of pages that will appear in the upcoming main title. Here DC gives us a complete package; although there are plenty of writers and artists splitting up the workload. Ethan Van Sciver, Aaron Lopresti, Dan Jurgens, Brian Azzarello, Jeff Lemire and plenty more all have credits in this issue. The writing seems fluid and natural, but the art suffers from frequent switching between the many inconsistent styles throughout the issue. That being said, it's free so I shouldn't complain too much! Future's End is a complete and important story that does what it needs to do by providing a hook for potential readers and will hopefully get many fans interested in reading the upcoming weekly series. I know that I, for one, am hooked; I'll be onboard weekly! Read Full Review
