While Gimmick! probably won't appeal to everyone, there's a definite audience out there for it, particularly among readers who are tired of the same-old same-old and want to find something a bit different. I'm not saying it is groundbreaking or anything like that, but there's enough uniqueness to it that it's well worth checking out, despite the "gimmick" of putting a cliffhanger at the end of the first volume. If something like that doesn't bother you the way it does me, then by all means pick this book up. Read Full Review
