So my hope with this review is (to the probable consternation of my editor) isn't to tell you what I specifically think about this comic so much as convince you that it's worth getting so you can read it and tell Haspiel what you thought about his comic. Because “Heart-Shaped Hole” is him, in a lot of ways, literally giving his heart to the Billy Dogma readers. I really want to like Heart-Shaped Hole, and I do appreciate its style and charm, but I just cant get over its strange storytelling and quick endings. I feel like these characters could truly work if they were given more than ten pages to tell a story, but as it stands, this little collection of shorts just doesnt do it for me. Read Full Review
