  I could attempt to explain the concept of the Hellboy character and the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense organization that the character works for. However, like my attempts to explain what makes Hellboy so enjoyable above, I am certain that a written explanation from me wouldn't do it justice. The only way to truly appreciate a book like this is to check it out for yourself, and that's exactly why Free Comic Book Day is so terrific.
