  Overall, the comic is a thrilling debut which seeks to not tell the typical superhero story and does so exceedingly well. The story by Corey Lakel Pruitt is exciting, smart, and well characterized.   Also, it's easy to get lost in Johnson's art. While being the first artist to pencil new characters has its advantages, allowing room for error, being an independent book puts everyone involved in a spot where they're forced to impress right awaya.   This issue was a great jumping point for a brand new world. It brought me a story that is unique and enticing and paired it with some great art. I really feel that this is an Image book in the making. Hell, it's got better art than a lot of the indie books that I see out there. Read Full Review
