The Weekly Crisis - Ryan Schrodt May 21, 2010

Despite being shot a review copy of this, I really had no intention of reading or reviewing it because, truthfully, I'm a Muppet purist and snob. That would have been a poor choice on my part, as Jesse Blaze Snider approaches this comic with the same lifelong love and respect for Jim Henson's creations that I do and that shows in his charming and witty script. He knows his Muppets, their voices, and how they interact, which makes this is a very faithful and enjoyable continuation of the franchise. The art does need a lot of help, especially in the coloring department, as does the pacing of the story, but for the money, you really can't go wrong with this very fun comic. Read Full Review

Muppet Snow White is off to a great start. It will be interesting to see how some of the darker aspects of the story are handled in the subsequent issues. The book has potential. Kids will dig it. There is that touch of humor that might be above them (but not as much as in Muppet King Arthur). Boom! has managed to truly capture the story of Snow White and deliver it in the Muppets tradition that fans of all ages will dig. I would imagine L'il G-Girl would give this an even higher rating.
