    Comic Crusaders - Alan Sep 9, 2015

Joey Esposito and Sean Von Gorman should be proud of the piece of work they have created here. Esposito's story is meaningful and engaging and Von Gorman's art fits perfect with the story. If you've ever had to deal with hard times, it shouldn't take you long to build a connection with the characters. I seriously recommend reading this book. If you like it, pass the word. Pawn Shop is a great story for non comic book readers as well and shows there is more to comics than capes and bat-a-rangs. Read Full Review

    Project-Nerd - Sarah Sep 29, 2015

Pawn Shop is beautiful in its storytelling, fascinating in its art, and excellent in its execution. It explores the human condition and kindness, love and loss, and is a refreshing change from what I've seen so much in comics lately. Not that superheroes and all aren't great; they are and always will be. But Pawn Shop tells a different kind of story in a familiar format, and I love it. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to get immersed in the story and spend an hour or two getting to know the characters. I'd also hope to see that others will see the relevancies of this in their own lives. Read Full Review

Word Of The Nerd - Yamini C May 3, 2014

You're not going to get exciting genre action here, or even much about the titular pawn shop, but if you like character-driven tales, you're not going to mind at all. I definitely recommend Pawn Shopfor anyone who just wants a good yarn to lost in. Read Full Review
