Overall, this is a book that Star Wars fans search out. There is a good story that not only sheds another little piece of light on a rather dark time in the Star Wars timeline, but it adds to the dimensions of Vader. The artwork is another plus, and I think that there is not a lot here to complain about. The Purge One-Shots (there have been three) are spaced out so far apart it is easy not to think of them as a series. The first had a cover date of December 2005, and the second was dated November of 2009. While it is nice not to have this series being taking for granted, I wouldn't mind a quarterly or so schedule. You don't get too many no strings attached comic books in this day and age but this is one. All you need to know is the original trilogy to enjoy this Darth Vader story. I hope Dark Horse continues to produce these Purge stories because all three have had something different to offer up and have been enjoyable reads. If you like a good Darth Vader story then this is the comic book for you. Read Full Review
