After reading this issue I can only hope that the book getsbetter or at the very least the movie is better. I hate to just rip Garth Ennisa new one, but this story just isn't very good and the fact that he wrote thecomic, wrote the script and directed the movie has me wondering just how goodthis will turn out in the end. I love it when creative people that work hard are able to transcend to another medium of entertainment and do well. Stitched the movie looks indie as well which has me hoping that it gets better so that I can really root for Ennis, but as it stands I'm skeptical at best. To be blunt, I have no idea what was going through Garth'shead when he wrote this. If he was trying to leave an air of mystery with thelast image of the issue, it did not help at all. With very flat characters,and a D-movie plot, I found it really hard to enjoy Stitched. With that said,the title still does have some potential. If Garth decides to make his story somewhatcoherent, and if he can get back to his guns and bring in some more of thatintense action and gore that I witnessed, I can see myself coming back toStitched. Garth, just let Wolfer flap his gory, violent, artistic wings for thefollowing issues and Stitched will definitely give us a run for our money, butuntil that happens" I simply cannot recommend this series.
