Ben's story was effectively built up in the first series, so it's not hard to sympathize with his current struggle to alter the future. The conflict between fate and free will that seemed to leak out of the more recent films is back in full force. And as the writing has improved a bit since 2029, so too has Andy MacDonald's artwork. His lines are bolder and more pronounced, and the action flows better on the page. It would be nice if his T-800 design recalled a bit more of the menace and power of Arnold Schwarzenegger's portrayal, though. Whether because of the dull character design or the fact that it's taken out of the game comically easy, the "Terminator" portion of this comic comes up a bit lacking. If that can change in issue #3, Whedon's saga will be in for an epic finish. Read Full Review
