I'm not a Thor fan. I can count on one hand the number of comics I've bought with his name in the title (in fact I probably spent more time with the character in one viewing the Thor movie than I have spent reading Thor comics in my lifetime). The character doesn't much interest me and often bores me. But I liked this. It's a strong, assertive story, differentiating itself drastically from the familiar Marvel Universe version of the character while still striving to retain whatever it is about the character that appeals to the masses. It has a few connective threads to the film, which will make it fairly accessible to new readers drawn in from the movie, so a job well done all around. Read Full Review
