The battle for the fate of the world begins with a single bite.

Apr 15, 2026Overall, Fruit of the Underworld Volume 1 gets off to an interesting start. I like the central premise, and Seiji is a likeable protagonist (even if currently somewhat generic), but this one is going to appeal more to shonen fans than perhaps Aya Kanno’s usual audience. And your enjoyment is going to depend on how interested you are in seeing this ragtag hero fight his way to rescuing his friend in chaotic fashion. Read Full Review
