In the classical underworld of Hades, Tom takes on harpies, sinister ferrymen and multiheaded dogs. But none of these encounters prepare him for his meeting with the king or for the responsibilities he has to take on for some very familiar damned souls.
For any classic literature fan, fantasy fan, and particularly for this batch of issues, Greek mythology fan, The Unwritten is a well woven story of Tom’s adventures, that while not on same level as other comics when it comes to cliffhanger endings, it’s the tie-in as a whole that keeps a reader going. High quality storytelling. Unlike a lot of other comics, I don't even mind too much when I get lost. The Unwritten is already earmarked for a reread or two due to its complex and ambitious storytelling. Read Full Review
