Sep 22, 2023This whole volume is, once again, all battle. There is a touching moment where we get Gyutaro and Daki’s backstory, and it's tragic, of course, because no one's backstory in Demon Slayer is anything but tragic. Gotouge is a master at creating backstories that make you feel something for characters even if they are demons that eat humans. There's also some splashes of cuteness with Nezuko and Tanjiro when Nezuko gives Tanjiro a piggy-back ride and she’s in her smaller state, so it's pretty adorable and slightly comical.
