47 Ronin is quite good. It is engaging and effectively tells the legend of the 47 ronin in a manner that is not too complex. Rather the story is extremely straightforward which may make some readers not like it much. A lot of classic Japanese stuff of legend is seen here. Again the simplicity of the story told is a good thing as well as a bad thing. The characters seem somewhat static, but this also implies that their character can easily get through to the readers.
The art seems to suit the story. This again may be a bit simplistic for some. I wouldn't call it bad nor noteworthy.
Overall it's worth a read, especially if the reader is into Japanese or other legends of yore.
