I created an account here just to express my opinions on this issue, and basically, how pathetically weird this story went.
My first words after finishing the story: THAT'S IT?
All I can say is that I get the feeling this was NOT what was planned at all for the sequel after the end of DC Vs Vampires - the original series.
This ultimately feels like someone started preparing a pizza and decided to make sushi in mid preparation - you get a rushed feel and a mediocre, unrecognizable product.
So many plot inconsistencies and for-convenience facts.

For an earth with Mister Miracle and Big Barda, the rest of the world seems to sure have no idea who and what the new gods and apokolips are! How convenient.
Darkseid friggin kaiju sized? and can only be killed by his kin? How convenient.
I thought whoever killed the vampire monarch becomes the new vampire monarch, so Damian killed Barbara, yet Diana is the new monarch? How conveniently inconsistent.
Seems like this whole Darkseid thing was just an excuse to bring all the vampires together in one location (they keep emphasizing this fact throughout the story) so the heroes in the end could bring about the ending (am not spoiling that much... yet).
Except THAT part felt kinda so rushed, so out of left field, so abrupt that it lost all the "ooh" that it should have gotten from me.
DCeased was a much better planned, much better written story - so much in the end was foreshadowed with hints and such early on that the ending felt like a true climactic conclusion. Even Darkseid appearing there made sense.
One good thing though: at least it's not another "Batman saves the day" story, although DCeased made THAT amazing.
Like another reviewer wrote: at least it's now over
oh and one last rant: The vampires were all in one location, why didn't Green Lantern Alfred just destroy all of them with one big will-powered solar blast like Hal did to Andrew Bennett WAY back in the beginning?!?!?!?!?!?! Supergirl pulling on green lantern chains to turn the earth so the sun faces the vampires was more dramatic, but Alfred using Green Lantern's Light to shower the vampires with ultra violet rays LIKE HAL DID would have made more sense. or.... maybe Alfred didn't KNOW he could do that...anyway that's what I meant by good foreshadowing - that was what I was kinda expecting when I saw Supergirl fly alfred away...
