Its Batman meets the Punisher in an absurdly brutal and bloodily satisfying way. The art brings the brutality and the rage to life in such a visceral and gratifying way that you should expect to be scared by how much you enjoy the blood lust. But make no mistake, the guilty get punished and they get exactly what they deserve. This issue is just an improvement in every way on the last amazing issue. We get a better look at Renato's life impersonating a ONE, we get more time spent with his supporting cast of Church, his ex-British special forces butler and Bliss, his childhood friend and only person he seems to identify with. This issue builds nicely on the previous, as Renato uses the identity of his previous victim to in the next step of his war with the ONE percent. And the action is kicked to 11 as yet another group of unscrupulous socialites show us exactly how badly they deserve to be murdered. My only wish is that Renato's connection to Bliss be more fleshed out. The flashback showing the two's first meeting as children had some clunky dialogue and she seems to have grown accustomed to her adopted lifestyle in a way that one would think might put her at odds with Renato. All in all and amazing second entry in what is quickly shaping up to be an amazing and gratifyingly visceral series.
