this was probably along with issue #183 the best ever Batman comic. Poison Ivy was so great in this issue.

This is another great story starring the outstanding Poison Ivy. The story line is intriguing and the artwork fantastic especially on the villainess. The story begins with some lowlife loser named Maxwell Veezey who simply hates plants. The dynamic duo try to capture him but he escapes while apparently driving a car with a huge bomb attached to it. When Poison Ivy finds that out she drugs the doctors transporting her and returns to her hideout for " a change of clothes" Meanwhile Batman and Robin locate Veezey again and are hot on his trail. Poison Ivy has the doctors drugged with a fatal poison that will kill them in 1 hour and she demands "a fast car and no funny stuff" or they die. Of course her request is granted and she heads off in search of Veezey. The villainess gets to Veezey before Batman and Robin do and approaches Veezey taunting him saying he sounds like he has a cold. The man is terrified as the beautiful villainess approaches him. Poison Ivy confronts him saying that the allergy season is bad this year but she can give him relief-PERMANENT relief as she presses her body against his. Just as she is about to poison Veezey with a kiss Batman bolts in. He yells at the man to get away and the suddenly distracted Poison Ivy can not contain him. "oooh your timing is rotten Batman" she screams. I was just about to do your job for you she says. Batman replies that his job is not about murder Poison Ivy swipes at Batman but misses and Batman fires out "what are your nails tipped with-Curare?" Meanwhile Robin takes off after Veezey while Batman very carefully takes on Poison Ivy who is now in a rage. She throws a flying kick at Batman but he manages to grab hold of her ankle. "what did you do with your hostages?" he demands. Ivy replies "I thought they'd live an hour she says- but they only made it to 45 mins' Poison Ivy then manages to land a great effective kick to Batman's head knocking him to the ground. Meanwhile Robin catches up to Veezey to force his "bomb" vehicle to land into the nearby water. As Batman tries to get up Ivy hammers him with a blow to the head knocking him down again. Poison Ivy then gets on top of Batman saying that somehow she is drawn to him like sunlight to water. Poison Ivy then attempts to again kiss Batman " you can feel it too. GIVE into it Batman. Like a moth to a flame and like a bee to a flower. You know you don't want to hit a woman." Somehow again though Batman is able to resist the beautiful villainess and plants a solid head butt on her knocking Poison Ivy out cold. Batman then gets up and plants his handcuffs on the fallen defeated woman. Robin having dispatched Veezey appears and Batman then asks what happened to the bomb Robin says it shorted out in the water but it is still toxic. Batman says that Poison Ivy likely is toxic too and that they need to bring in a bio hazard team to transport her back to Arkham thus ending another great story. Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

This was the continuation from Batman #339 where Poison Ivy schemed to take over control of all the assets of the Wayne Foundation. She achieved this by kissing all the board members with a hypnotic drug into her lipstick. She even gave Bruce Wayne a 2nd kiss just to insure that he would comply. She then called a special board meeting and ordered all the members to sign all the assets over to her. The hypnotic drug in her lipstick prevented any of the men from talking about Poison Ivy's plan or the words would actually choke in their throats. At the end of issue #339 Batman tried to tell Gordon what Poison Ivy was up to but the words actually DID choke in his throat. To make things even worse for Batman was that not only had he sprained his ankle at the feet of Poison Ivy but a Mayoral candidate name Arthur Reeves had stated publicly that he knew Batman's secret identity and would reveal it if he became mayor. Luckily for Batman Poison Ivy did not know that she also had Batman under her control. As Poison Ivy paraded around down in some real nice out-fits and happily spending her money Batman started to follow her everywhere which rattled the villainess to the point that she lured Batman to her hideout to finish the battle. As Batman smashed in the glass roof Poison Ivy was waiting and ready for him. She proceeded to snap her fingers and suddenly Ivor who she had turned into a giant tree monster went on the attack vs the Batman. As Ivor was getting the upper hand in the epic battle suddenly Robin the Boy Wonder appeared and went after Poison Ivy. At that point she fired some poisoned thorn darts at Robin but they missed their mark. Robin then attacked Poison Ivy giving her a brutal kick to the villainess's face knocking her down. Robin then took control of her by tying her hands behind her back and forcing her to call off Ivor. Somehow it seems Robin is always there to take down Poison Ivy. At that moment Commissioner Gordon arrived and Batman placed handcuffs on the frustrated Poison Ivy as she was cursing " you did this Batman- you RUINED me--ruined me" After Poison Ivy was taken to jail with her great plan failing Ivor then told all to the authorities and all Poison Ivy's actions were reversed and everything went back to normal especially after Arthur Reeves lost his bid for Mayor. Overall this was a fantastic issue with a great story and excellent art-work. I really like the touch of seeing Poison Ivy in the great out-fits she wore around town. 10/10 on this issue !!

In issue Batman #181 Poison Ivy made her debut and was able to get Batman under her control with a kiss but her efforts to seduce Batman were foiled when during her attempt to escape by climbing up a building Batman was able to knock her down with his batarang and then arrest her and send her off to prison. When Robin had pulled Batman away from kissing Poison Ivy he stated that she had used a chloroform base to her lipstick but Poison Ivy stated that Batman would have fallen for her even if she had only used ketchup. Somehow Batman was able to shake himself from her spell to throw his batarang and knock her off the wall. When she was put in her cell she promised Batman that once she had kissed him that he was under her spell and that he would in fact break her out of prison. Early in Batman #183 the Caped Crusader found himself unable to put the Sexy villainess out of his mind. Every date he went on the woman who he was with always seemed to be Poison Ivy and it was obvious he was still under her control. To further her hold on Batman Poison Ivy send him a mirror with her picture and voice in it- all the time haunting him with "come on Batman you know you are going to free me". This mirror further sealed her hold on Batman and during a battle with some street thugs Batman was unable to get his attention off Poison Ivy while Robin was left to battle the thugs on his own. Finally at one point Batman took notice and shook himself from the thought of Poison Ivy to help Robin rout the villains. Then to prove he was free of Poison Ivy's control he stepped on and smashed the mirror vowing to rid himself of his feelings for the beautiful villain. When Poison Ivy recieved the broken mirror back she proceeded to fake an illness leaving her at her death's bed. When Batman came to visit her Poison Ivy threatened to blow up the prison hospital with her hair explosives unless Batman broke her out of jail. Batman knew she was not joking so he carried her out of the prison and into a waking getaway car Ivy had arranged to pick her up. With the police in pursuit Poison Ivy threw out the hair explosives which booby trapped the police vehicles enabling her to make her getaway. Batman seeing this tried to grab the steering wheel but he was stuck by a poison dart in the wheel device which knocked him out. Poison Ivy was then able to get back into her great costume having made her escape successful. When Batman came to in her hideout he found himself tied up and on a leash held by the beautiful villainess. This photo was the best photo in the whole issue and showed Batman totally under her control as her slave. Batman decided to go on a hunger strike to protest his capture by Poison Ivy who decided to try and force feed him but he refused. Then suddenly the whip that Ivy had in her hand spooked her pet panther who turned on the villain. Batman went to take the whip from Poison Ivy to fend off the wild animal. At that same moment Robin burst into the scene and started to battle with her servants. While Robin was battling the villian's gang Poison Ivy pulled Batman in for another big kiss to further strengthen her hold on him. Initially Batman was powerless to resist her but as Robin finished off the goons a stunned Poison Ivy pulled back from the kiss to discover her wrists were tied by Batman who had used the rope to tie her up. "YOU TRAITOR" Poison Ivy screamed knowing that her plans had once again been defeated. The Dynamic Duo then returned the captured beauty to her jail cell while Poison Ivy once again promised Batman that he would free her again. Batman and Robin just laughed as they left the prison with the frustrated Poison Ivy left only to curse him. I think this is the best version of Poison Ivy { along with Batman #339 and #344} and that DC should go back to these types of stories where she controls men. The artwork in this issue is stunning especially on Poison Ivy who looks so sexy in this out-fit. In #183 she has added green gloves to her out-fit which make her look even better.
