    In issue Batman #181 Poison Ivy made her debut and was able to get Batman under her control with a kiss but her efforts to seduce Batman were foiled when during her attempt to escape by climbing up a building Batman was able to knock her down with his batarang and then arrest her and send her off to prison. When Robin had pulled Batman away from kissing Poison Ivy he stated that she had used a chloroform base to her lipstick but Poison Ivy stated that Batman would have fallen for her even if she had only used ketchup. Somehow Batman was able to shake himself from her spell to throw his batarang and knock her off the wall.
