Black Nerd Problems - Jordan Calhoun Aug 3, 2016

With time travel, determinism versus fatalism, and giant tardigrades fighting to the death, Paper Girls is a beautiful mess right now. There's a lot to learn about how Brian Vaughan intends to answer these questions in our story, but for now he has readers thinking, and this is the point by which everyone has their theories. And just at the end, he throws another curveball. Come for the sci-fi mystery, enjoy Cliff Chiang's fantastic art, and look forward to discovering how the whole timeline fits together as our girls search frantically for their missing friend KJ. Paper Girls is an incredibly fun, diverse, and challenging sci-fi adventure. Read Full Review

Comic Book Corps - Tim Montoya Aug 6, 2016

Roughly once a month I take a look at the upcoming releases and I get giddy with glee, for possibly my favorite ongoing series. That is none other than Paper Girls of course, from the excellent story telling to the very distinctive art style. I never seem to walk away from an issue with any disappointment, it seems to have the perfect mix in each one, just leaving me at the end to want even more. Read Full Review

    Comicsverse - Robert Franco Aug 4, 2016

Fortunately, because of the water bear blood bath, the mysterious nature of the three Erins, and the continuous development of all the characters, PAPER GIRLS #8 is a treat. This issue really got me excited for upcoming issues again. The characters are so open and their growth seeps out of the panels. This book is also great for any new readers looking for similar content to STANGER THINGS, as well. The urge to see the gang overcome their perplexing situation is as strong as ever, so go and grab yourself a copy. Read Full Review

Paper Girls has really come together in recent issues. While it still doesn't seek to answer many questions"if anything it adds entirely new ones"issue #8 again lends a welcome sense of direction to what has been a topsy-turvy ride. Read Full Review

Comic Bastards - Jordan Claes Aug 5, 2016

I can't say enough times how nice it is to finally have the wheels turning in the Paper Girls world; for so long the story just kept expanding outwards with no resolution in sight, so it's nice to see some horizon for a change. Admittedly we still don't know much as far as the ‘why' of it all is concerned but I anticipate some concrete answers coming before the end of this sophomore arc. Keep doing what you're doing Paper Girls team (Cliff, we've already had our talk), you continue to be the highlight of my monthly pull-list! Read Full Review
