Michael W. Conrad's backup was the best thing about the issue. To get an idea of how bad things are. The entire final part of the main story is embarrassing. I hope Hearthless takes down this Dick Grayson, because this Dick Grayson is insufferable.

For the second, or third, time, Taylor makes Dick stand on a podium to get applause for him, Taylor. The scenes of Dick's friends and family watching with smiles and pride came straight from somewhere on Tumblr, it's repeated and embarrassing. A while ago Nightwing was defeating Deathstroke in Dark Crisis, meanwhile in his solo he is just a puppy making fun in the middle of the park to draw attention TO his owner.
I think you missed the point a little bit. He surprised Barbara on his own birthday by sharing the spotlight with her. It was his day, in multiple ways, and he shared the podium. The dude gets willed millions of dollars and he uses it to make his joke a better place. He should be recognized for that, that’s what people would do. The national broadcast was overkill but it was used to show all the people who Dick has had a positive impact on in his life.
