A military science fiction story with all the staples of the genre. Well written and presented, but nothing new. A definite comfort read. |

Sparrowhawk #2
Nov 6, 2018 |
At its core,Sparrowhawk is an adventure that points out dangers of passing judgment on those that are different than yourself. It is a critique as much as it is a conquest. It is a story of how once one's morals are called into question it is easy to lose track of who you are. |

Dead Rabbit #1

Whether this comic will succeed or fail depends on whether Duggan can create an ensemble cast, as the only character readers get to know in this issue is the protagonist. |

Dead Rabbit #2
Nov 6, 2018 |
This issue does a few things well in terms of the overall series. #2 introduces a new character and complexifies him. It also pulls readers perspective of Martin Dobbs, a.k.a Dead Rabbit way back. It rewrites the "hero" from issue #1, as a desperate man who will do anything, hurt anyone, to get what he wants. Despite the fact Martin Dobbs is a man who believes in good and evil in issue #1, he is every shade of gray. |

Shadow Roads #5
Nov 13, 2018 |
Shadow Roads #5 delves deeper into Native American mysticism without feeling exploitative. Those who enjoy stories about spirits worlds, such as Avatar: The Last Airbender, or Legend of Kora, will find this a wonderful change of era and scenery, but with similar charm. The added grit and gore makes it feel more adult, but some of the humor is on point enough to make this comic feel "for everyone," which, judging by the cast of characters, it most certainly is. |
