Kaplan does a great job of making it feel authentic and real. Combined with the art from lvaro Sarraseca, the comic flowed beautifully.

Overall, this was a fantastic issue. I don't feel like any time was wasted, and I can see how the previous issues led up to the events in this one. If you haven't caught up yet, or if you wait for the trade paperback to come out, there is only one more issue before Volume 9 comes out, so definitely pick that up.

This issue was absolutely fantastic though and gives readers exactly what they want in regards to what we all love about the X-Files.

The story writing in this issue is wonderful as ever, bringing our reality into this giant made up universe. Sir Robot's dialogue transformation and character development has been great. He's still a crass jack-ass, but he has also become adaptable due to his fairly positive experiences with multiple races. Fiona Staples art is also fantastic, continuing to convey wonderful emotions through facial expressions, even when a face is a screen.

Stellar #1 was an easy to follow, interesting first issue to a story that I am definitely interested in reading more of.

The Lost City Explorers is a book you should definitely check out. Good writing, good art. I'm extremely interested in the story in general and definitely look forward to the next issue.

Midnight Task Force is a crime series that has a lovely twist to it. It is dark and twisted, and we get a grittier look into futuristic Detroit.

There is a lot of symbolism in this issue, and whether it's a black feather (like on the cover) or The Will taking off his mask, there is so much more to the art than just the story being told. The visuals that go along with what is going on inside the minds of Marko and The Will are wonderful.

The JFK story is way better, and I don't know how interested I am in continuing following the case files if they are all like this Florida Man story.
