Word Of The Nerd - Jenna Clark Jun 21, 2018

This is a great combination of Jim Gordon in Gotham, Kovacs in Altered Carbon and Bruce Willis' character, Hartigan, in Sin City all rolled into one. Read Full Review

Comic Crusaders - Robert Anderegg Jul 16, 2018

This is not a funny comic, but the intriguing characters and strong story (with art to match) outshine any lack of cheap laughs Mark could have written in. As far as sophomoric debuts go, Midnight Task Force is a damn good one, and issue two is primed to crank up to 11. Read Full Review

On Comics Ground - James Portis Jun 1, 2018

Midnight Task Force #1 is a solid start to what looks to be a tightrope of a series.Trying to balance telling a compelling narrative, without coming off too cliche. Besides that though, it is a book filled with an interesting story of a man with a destroyed past trying to survive in his own head and this dangerous future he lives in. It also appeals to those who love cyber punk as well as criminal justice stories. If you're looking for an indie book to add to you're pull list, this is most worth the choosing. Read Full Review

Midnight Task Force is a crime series that has a lovely twist to it. It is dark and twisted, and we get a grittier look into futuristic Detroit. Read Full Review

    That's Not Current - Daniel Kilmurray Apr 18, 2017

Midnight Task Force #1 starts the series off on a clich start, perhaps to be safe, yet it offers many details that could help the series as it progresses, and I'm looking forward to reading the rest of it.A gritty detective comic with an anti-hero protagonist. It's full of clichs but it looks like it could go in a unique direction given time. Supported by beautiful artwork reminiscent of the painting Nighthawks, it's worth picking the issue up for the art alone, the story is just a bonus. Read Full Review

Its just a solid issue that gave me more than I was expecting. Out of 5 stars I give it a3.54. Thus farMidnight Task Force #1 could definitely find interest from fans outside of normal comic readers, and I could see this as a long running TV series. The fact that it's getting printed could help ease that transition along. Its got legitimate suspense and horror as well as a and a fun twist, interesting characters, and solid art. Seriously give this one a look. Theres a great twist at the very end and youll want to go read issue #2 as soon as you hit the end of issue #1. Read Full Review

Comic Bastards - Steven Phillips Aug 25, 2016

And yet that does not make a book great or good. It makes something passable. Scratch the surface and you'll see a very plain, somewhat successful noir pastiche. Read Full Review

Bleeding Cool - Joshua Davison Jun 26, 2018

Midnight Task Force #1 has a decent lead character and some interesting ideas pushing the narrative forward, but the book has far too many problems to recommend. The story relies too much on clich, a lot of the dialogue is spotty, and the plot itself isnt especially interesting. I look forward to what Mad Cave Studios can bring to the scene in the long haul, but I cant recommend Midnight Task Force #1. Read Full Review
