Witness the stunning conclusion to our first installment of Case Files! While investigating a rash of bizarre crimes in a small Florida town, Scully and Mulder find themselves in the clutches of an alligator-worshiping cult!
Bizarre and punchy, The X-Files Case Files #2 taps into the classic X-Files vibe. Dawson's writing is top notch, and Casagrande and Califano's artwork compliments the storyline. And, well, gators! Read Full Review
I cannot imagine any X-Files fan not liking this two-partstory. It again feels like a “lost” episodeof the tv series and fits perfectly in The X-Files world. The creative team caught the style, tone, and tempo of the series perfectly and transferred it into comic book form. Which, if you have read any comic based on a television or movie property, you know is not easy to do. I like that IDW is doing these short two-part stories for this new “Case Files” series and I hope the new creative team on “Hoot Goes There” is as good as this one! Read Full Review
X-Files Case Files: Florida Man #2 isnt a satisfying ending to the story, but its saved by quirks, charms, and the chemistry between its leads. I cant say that I had a bad experience in reading this, even if the comic could have gone far more eldritch and out there than it did. That said, the pacing is quicker than many comics, the art is good, and the book is generally fun. This one earns a recommendation, though its not required reading. Feel free to check it out though.
