It's fascinating that so many revel in something as warped as Bedlam but it isn't hard to see why it's gaining quite the popularity. It's an intriguing piece of work. Nothing can be certain. It takes into perspective life through the eyes of Madder Red, the psycho murderer, and Fillmore Press, a "reformed" Madder Red, though it can be said you'd use the term "reformed" lightly. Could a man really be getting well again if he directs someone else's gun to shoot him?

If you haven't yet come across the works of Pat Shand yet, believe me, I'm giving you the tut of shame. 'Tut, tut, tut'. It is, like Pat's other work Robyn Hood, only going to be a miniseries story arc, but to date it has been nothing short of sheer brilliance.

My expectations for issue #2 wont be of astronomical high hopes, but touch wood that there could be an improvement. Who knows, I could be even singing it's praises by issue #4. But until then, nothing is for certain.
