Aquaman (2016) #15

As much as I love this story line I am so disappointed in this ending. I'm hoping the next arc is better, and I would love to see more of this Mera conflict.

Batgirl and the Birds of Prey #7

Feb 8, 2017

As plain as this story was it was so awesome compared to some from the previous arc. I hope this means its going to get better. The art could have been a little softer and the colors brighter but overall I am fairly happy with it. I feel like the girls were a little to pointy. Like I didn't really have to turn the page Helena's nose reached out and turned them for me. I'm excited to see where the story goes from here especially with this actually capturing my interest and keeping it. I was kind of confused about Dick Greyson though I thought she had her eye one someone else and was completely over him but I suppose those two will always have that special place, even though I think she is better off with Tim Drake. Just sayin...

Batwoman: Rebirth #1

Feb 15, 2017

This was a pretty quick read, and being that it was aRebirth issue you get a look into the past and the soon to be future of KateKane. It seems that we will be rehashing the Monster Men story, so here is tohoping we get a better story out of that, but again this is just a rehash ofwhat we have seen in the Detective Comics last month and set-up for where thisbook will take us. The final panel was fantastic and I love the new uniformthat we will be seeing, but what is the whole deal with opening fire on Gotham? It is a sad fact that she was kicked out of West Point for being Gay, but I seethat making a reappearance in the future. The art in this book is Phenomenaland I love that page with the Detective Team. I have high hopes for the futureof this series and cannot wait to see what comes next.

She Wolf #5

Jan 25, 2017

I picked up this comic because of the description and the fact I tend to really like Image comics but honestly this just left me confused and frustrated. I'm not just a quick reader I am a thorough reader. If I miss a detail something happened like I got interrupted or what not. I went back and re-read issues 1-4 before I read this one and I was still confused as to what was going on. The story line was hard to follow. Not sure if it was I was not interested or what but I just couldn't keep interested. I do like the art as in I like the style but I feel like it could have been made a little easier to read. The story line has a lot of potential I just wish Tommaso would take advantage of it.

Suicide Squad (2016) #9

Jan 11, 2017

I loved this backstory. It was set up perfectly and completelyties into the JL vs SS story line. Truthfully, I'm rather shocked as I did nothave high hopes for this story. Not that I am disappointed in the JL vs SSstory line I just don't get excited about back stories as much. This issue Iwasn't excited for, but I was impressed with the story in the end. What I'm notcrazy about is the art. I mean Rossmo couldn't even give Waller a chin? Thecolors were dreary but I can understand that because I didn't expect thisSuicide Squad to be as colorful as our beloved Harley, Deadshot, and CaptainBoomerang crew. Overall a great backstory and I actually kind of hope theycontinue a whole story line with this Squad. I would for sure take time to readit.

Suicide Squad (2016) #11

Feb 8, 2017

I am obsessed with this story and how it is always leaving me at “What is going on here?' kind of feeling. It starts out captivating and continues throughout the story. Just don't disappoint. What kills this comic for me is the art. I am by no means trying to be rude because my artistic talent is lucky to draw a stick family but I am not at all crazy about this Black Knight Monty Python Harley Quinn we have going on here. I like the colors and can deal with the rest of the sketch but Harley Quinn was ruined for me in this book. She has a signature look that you should at least try to mimic but was completely ignored for this. Story on point, art not so much. Truthfully I want to rate this lower but with the story line being so amazing I can look past the awful Harley Quinn art... kinda.

The Flintstones #8

Feb 1, 2017

When I picked up this comic this is not at all what I expected but am pleasantly not disappointed. I expected a happy, funny comic but what I got were subliminal messages about today's society.

The Wicked + The Divine #25

Jan 4, 2017

I am a solid Wicked and Divine fan. The art captivates me and most of the story lines hit me in the feels. This issue is absolutely no different. I love the major cliffhangers, and relating to Cass's freak outs. The conflict I keep seeing rise in Laura/Persephone. How I love to hate Woden, it all keeps me coming back for more. Gillen is always leaving me wanting more and I will keep coming back.
