Batgirl and the Birds of Prey is in top form. This has surpassed the "New 52" run and is taking the best from the classic run and making it fresh and modern. The Bensons have managed to make this title feel contemporary and familiar at the same time. Great storytelling relies on great characterization and chemistry. For a concept like Birds of Prey, it is integral. The Birds could sit around a room and talk and it could still be the best story of the year. It's like that with this concept. Maybe, because it's a book that features all female leads it lends itself to this. No matter what, this title has become great. Read Full Review

As plain as this story was it was so awesome compared to some from the previous arc. I hope this means its going to get better. The art could have been a little softer and the colors brighter but overall I am fairly happy with it. I feel like the girls were a little to pointy. Like I didn't really have to turn the page Helena's nose reached out and turned them for me. I was kind of confused about Dick Greyson though I thought she had her eye one someone else and was completely over him but I suppose those two will always have that special place, even though I think she is better off with Tim Drake. Just sayin... Read Full Review

While we did solve a mystery that's been looming in the background of this series since it started, the entire issue surrounding it really gave us nothing.  The book did pick up at the end for me and I found myself really enjoying the art, but the story just doesn't seem to be there. Batman-News - Joshua McDonald Feb 9, 2017

There's some positive headway in this issue, but I don't expect it to last. When the final page turns, there remains to be immense structural and logical issues with the plot(s) and characters. If the creative team could slow down long enough to ask "who, what, why, when, where, and how" then Batgirl & the Birds of Prey could actually be enjoyable every month. Throw in a little consistency with that, and who knows what could happen. But for now, we'll have to live with average to poor stories. Read Full Review
