No…No…No. Sloppy, choppy, inconsistent and incoherent. Not at all what I was expecting from the talented team of McCarthy and Baker. Circuit Breaker #3 is a rare swing-and-a-miss from Image Comics.

While the artwork certainly leaves something to be desired, the writing team of Diggle and Cruickshank have done an outstanding job of revitalizing the old, worn-out political-crime genre. Control #2 is a quick, suspenseful read that left me wanting more.

Dept. H #3 is both visually impressive and an entertaining read. The story itself is unique, fast-paced and wholly enjoyable. Matt Kindt's rough artistic style lends well to a series set in a rough and inhospitable environment, while Sharlene Kindt's coloring, dark and confining, emphasizes to the reader that the story occurs deep within the ocean's abyss.

Detective Comics #935 is a wonderfully well-written story that will entertain both Batman die-hards and newcomers alike. The artwork really steals the show, though, as the pencils, inks and colors all come together to form a masterpiece of comic art.

The Flash #1 is thoroughly entertaining and a great way to re-start the Flash franchise. The story is engaging and makes for a quick read, while the artwork and coloring are clean, vibrant and fresh.

Green Arrow #1 packs a punch with its compelling storytelling and creative use of color, which almost acts to timestamp the story as it progresses. While the artwork at times seems rough and unpolished, Green Arrow #1 is well worth the read. I'd recommend collectors upgrade to the Neal Adams variant cover, which is visually far superior to the standard cover.

Green Lanterns #2 is a well-written, fast-paced read. The artwork and coloring is visually beautiful and adds to the overall enjoyment of the book. Watch out for a quick, single-panel cameo by Wonder Woman!

Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps: Rebirth #1 is a good re-set to the Green Lantern universe. It sets the stage well for Hal Jordan's struggle to return to the Corps, his personal mission to locate the remaining members of the Corps, and his inevitable showdown with Sinestro. Throw in the quick history lesson and cameos by many of the key players of the Green Lantern universe, and Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps: Rebirth #1 makes for a good starting point for Green Lantern veterans and newbies alike.

As the first in a six-part miniseries that will ultimately center on the redemption of a lost soul, Lucas Stand #1 is a quick and enjoyable read – dark, gritty storytelling at it's finest, with the artwork to match.

Throwaways #1 is a deeply engaging story that left me wanting more. The artwork and panel layouts are creative and unique. Sanders' artwork is just as entertaining to look at as Kittredge's story is to read.
