Soldier Zero #9 |
Jun 14, 2011 |
Javier Pina continues his solid artwork on a comic that couldnt have been easy to illustrate. As I mentioned, there were a lot of scenes where the main characters were just discussing things, yet Javier never let those scenes become boring. He shows an incredible range of emotion in the faces of his characters. Anyone reading comics for any amount of time knows that artists often have stock poses for characters, Javier never slips into the repeat faces that many artists do. Each and every panel was unique and there were no boring back and forth shots. This issue was greatly enhanced by Mr. Pinas talent at drawing facial expressions from numerous different angles. |

Solomon Kane: Red Shadows #3 |
Jun 9, 2011 |
For all of its faults in pacing, the story is solid, and Rahsan Ekedals art carries the book through the slow portions. Solomon Kane: Red Shadows is a good read and Im looking forward to the final issue, and the conclusion of the story. |
