An out-of-this-world fight between Jo Mullein and Tomar Re leading into what's sure to be a thrilling match up between the Lanterns, the Blackstars and their Overseer.

The continued tease and terror of the Void is building, and it’s clear there will be an explosive, heart-wrenching ending for Sentry in the final issue of this four-part miniseries.

If you’ve hesitated to pick up Absolute Green Lantern, or you’ve fallen a bit behind (no shame!), I cannot encourage everyone enough to read it. With the understanding of the core of each character placed into the Absolute universe, Ewing plays with character identities that would normally not receive the same amount of care and attention in the main universe. Absolute Green Lantern is the under-sung joy of the Absolute Universe.

While the ending was, in some ways, expected, that makes it no less one of the most exciting books currently coming out of Marvel. Every month, North’s Fantastic Four feels like a perfect mesh of the cosmic wonder, fantastical science-fiction and down-to-earth family that encompasses the First Family.

As far as a Hollywood Hills murder story goes, it’s doing exactly what one would expect. Setting up a few red herrings, the detective in the form of Patsy Walker and Simon in the role of unlucky man at the center of it all. There’s enough intrigue in Simon’s dynamic with his brother, but more time to show why one would want Simon and Patsy to work out would be nice, instead of the paint-by-numbers genre the pair currently feel like.

In some ways a slower paced comic than the other Absolute titles, there's more than enough pay-off in the ways that each story beat in this week's issue will have far-reaching consequences for our friends back on Earth. However, this issue does feel in some ways like a standalone to the rest of the series.

New stories told in the framework of older, familiar settings and characters push forward the Eternals legacy while honoring the past. The question of "Where are the rest of the Eternals?" did pester me enough to consider it a good, not great comic.

Fantastic Four #8 is an action-packed reintroduction to one of the darker facets of the Fantastic Four, all but ensuring an exciting match-up between the Invisible Woman and the Invincible Woman.

An otherwise good arc that was a little too drawn out. I'm excited to see what lies ahead for Cass Cain in Gotham.

If #7 was a reset, #8 was a full-tilt reminder of the cost of willful ignorance and complacency. With more questions raised and few answers given, Absolute Martian Manhunter continues to be the most compelling and complex book of the Absolute line.

As a mini that serves as both a standalone story and tie-in for a larger event, Cloak or Dagger #3 concludes in a satisfactory way while leaving the audience curious and craving more for our characters.
