May 06, 2026Al Ewing has always been the type of writer to hold his cards close to his chest, and when things finally start unfolding, it’s almost always spectacular. Read Full Review

May 06, 2026If you’ve hesitated to pick up Absolute Green Lantern, or you’ve fallen a bit behind (no shame!), I cannot encourage everyone enough to read it. With the understanding of the core of each character placed into the Absolute universe, Ewing plays with character identities that would normally not receive the same amount of care and attention in the main universe. Absolute Green Lantern is the under-sung joy of the Absolute Universe. Read Full Review

May 06, 2026Absolute Green Lantern #14 is taking this fight to space and revealing what Tomar Re is out to accomplish. The issue is a blend of incredible art, and Al makes us hate Tomar so much that it’s beautiful storytelling. I cannot wait for what’s next. Read Full Review

May 06, 2026Tomar’s plans to fight the Black Stars comes with complications in this latest chapter. Ewing’s writing puts Jo in immediate danger. The art team gives a fair balance of drama and action. Readers will have some questions after finishing this chapter. Read Full Review

KPB Comics - Phillip Creary
May 06, 2026The lore in Absolute Green Lantern #14 is a lot to wrap your head around, but you shouldn’t sleep on this issue. Al Ewing’s move to turn Tomar-Re into a Mogo-hunting anomaly is the kind of bold swing the Absolute line thrives on. Between Sid Kotian’s trippy visuals and the high-stakes mental warfare against Jo, it’s easily one of the most interesting Green Lantern books on the shelf right now. It’s a solid read, even if you’re still piecing together how these new flames actually work. Read Full Review

I wanna love the series so much but the plot is very confusing… the art is okay but nothing too good. I usually love Ewing and had high expectations for AGL. I will stick with the series a little more but is by far my least favorite absolute comic.
