Gemini #1 |
Mar 10, 2008 |
As a first issue this comic holds a world of potential. With the daft handling of a superhero/secret identity who do not know each other, Gemini is a unique offering and its ending is guaranteed to bring you back for more! |

Salem #0 |

Salems spell, born of striking artwork and period-horror, will keep readers coming back every issue! I am looking forward to seeing the creative team maintain this level of energy through to the end. |

Seven Soldiers of Victory: Zatanna #1 |
Apr 10, 2005 |
So, with that out of the way, I liked the three twists within the story (thats a LOT for a first issue, and each was better than the last). I like the fact that Zatanna has had several character altering events and is forced to take the world from a new angle. I like the effort that is put into that! Overall, I can say without a doubt that Ill be buying the next three issues magic-speak and all! |

Children of the Grave #1 |
Jan 30, 2005 |
To be honest, Children of the Grave offers no deep insights; its just a fun romp through a dark, horrific Never-NeverLand! Shooting Star Comics has produced a solid book with a lot of punch and should really, in my opinion as an editor for a rival comic book company, Arcana Studio, take the time to, after the current mini-series is complete, color the whole story and re-press it as a nice trade and push it for what it is not politically correct, not forgiving, but damned fun! I enjoyed it and think it is totally worth the cover price and time! |

Gotham Central #27 |
Jan 16, 2005 |
Oh, and if youre a writer or editor think about it before you mention Yahweh or God or Allah or Buddha or any real religion for it or against it cause once you take a stand on religion, youre going to offend someone in the room. |

DC Comics Presents Superman #1 |
Aug 8, 2004 |
What can I say, all I took away from that story was a warm feeling for those 80s Superman comics that I never much liked. Oh, and steroids are bad. Not because they shrink your manhood to nothing, but because they give you superpowers that make you destroy football stadiums the story makes sense. But when stacked up to Stan Lee, Darwyn Cooke and J. Bones classic, this has no room to maneuver. |

One last thing, check out the poker game at the close of the issue. Notice anything deceivingly odd about the guest stars cards? You tell me, how many aces are in a standard deck of cards? |

Ultimate X-Men #49 |
Jul 18, 2004 |
And after four issues of buildup, Mister Sinister (with two handguns) fights a dozen X-Men (with SUPERPOWERS). Jeez, I wonder whose going to win (0 out of 5 bullets). I was so floored with how weak that was that words escaped me. Instead, I grabbed one of Brandons panels for reference and drew Wolverine giving me the finger very juvenile on my part, but it felt right at the time Im sure Ill regret it later. |

Wynonna Earp: Home on the Strange #1 |
Dec 31, 2003 |
Instead, Beau crafted a good enough story to make me want to read the rest of the series. I dont mind putting my money down for it. And Im hoping that the artists, Carlos Ferreira and Silvio Spottis work improves with each issue, I want to get that near-McFarlane sensation with every page (hes on my list of best artists). And to top this off, Im curious where Beau takes his story of the three living-dead men that Wyatt Earp killed in Tombstone over a hundred years ago. |

Gene Pool #1 |
Oct 31, 2003 |
All in all, this is the comic I want to read! My favorite artist with some of the best writers in comics producing action-adventure stories with heart instead of capes. It sets up the movie beautifully, leaving me ready for its debut! I CANNOT recommend this book enough! |
