Apocalyptigirl: An Aria For The End Times is an ambitious, gorgeous addition to any comic reader's bookshelf. While a wider universe is hinted at throughout, if MacLean's story begins and ends here it's a satisfying trip to a strange new world, and a welcome introduction to a promising creative talent.

Comics don't get better than this, folks. Check up with the first trade if you haven't, and experience the rest of The Fade Out in real time; after all, it's more fun to watch the dominoes as they fall.

In an editorial in this issue, Richardson asks if we're experiencing a new Golden Age of comics due to the diverse amount of high-quality material currently being published. If we are, Dark Horse Presents deserves a lot of the credit. By providing creators with a forum for creative expression for almost 30 years, Dark Horse Presents ensures that while the comics anthology may never be as prevalent as it once was, it will always have a place in the medium.

While reading Jupiter's Legacy provides additional texture, Circle confidently stands on its own. It goes farther with the superhero-as-celebrity theme than its predecessor/sequel, resulting in a final product that reads as nothing less than a metahuman Fade Out. Highly recommended.

If this first issue of Rebels were a one-shot, it would feel like a complete, satisfying story. But with references to greater struggles and heartache to come, this revolution is only beginning. Do yourself a favor " read Rebels #1, and thank your lucky stars if you read another debut as fully realized this year.

In the end, while the main story could very well end up being a success, Convergence #0 itself is unnecessary at best and alienating at worst.

Featuring plenty of strong set pieces, clearly defined characters and surprising twists, Avengers: Ultron Forever is a superhero spectacle with enough elements to sustain momentum through its two remaining issues and to appeal to new and veteran readers alike.
