While Girlfriend, Girlfriend Volume 1 might be an enjoyable read for diehard fans of rom-coms or slice-of-life, most will probably find it lacking purpose. Though good art and translation keep it from being truly bad, I simply dont have any desire to read any more of Girlfriend, Girlfriend, and I doubt most readers will either.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Volume 11 is one of the best in the series. It is full of action that fans of Naruto will love, sets up some great teamwork and character moments from the new Team 7, and features a fantastic antagonist in Boro. With its stellar conclusion, fans will no doubt pick up volume 12 and beyond.

Persona 5 Volume 6 is a joy to read for longtime fans and newcomers alike. Though this story is still much better represented in the original game, the manga does a good job translating the story into a new medium. Volume 6 features some amazing character moments and nods to longtime fans, but inconsistent art holds it back from true greatness.

While Date A Live Volume 1: Dead-End Tohka wont be blowing anyone away (unless this is somehow your first harem series), it is a ton of fun to read. Filled with funny moments and introducing enthralling mysteries, this first volume sets up a great series; now Tachibana just has to keep it up for the next 21 volumes.

Do You Like the Nerdy Nurse? could have become a great series. As it is, however, the manga is an enjoyable one-shot with likable characters and great art, though its story wont be blowing anyone away. If you want to smile for an hour or two but arent looking for any kind of plot, this might be the manga for you.

By the time most readers come to the end of Solo Leveling Volume 1, they will no doubt be hooked. It does a fantastic job setting itself up for success. Though it still could fall into genre tropes over time, the first volume is worth a read for all fans of fantasy or isekai stories.
